More Than Meets The Eye

Hace poco descubrí casualmente el nombre de la música que sonaba al final del trailer de ESDLA:LDT. Resulta que era una orquestación específica para dicho trailer de 'Lux Aeterna', tema principal compuesto por Clint Mansell para la película "Réquiem por un sueño". Esta composición se ha vuelto muy recurrente últimamente, especialmente en su encarnación para el trailer (conocida popularmente como 'Requiem for a Tower'), y ha aparecido en numerosos trailers, anuncios y promociones televisivas, dando origen a cierto meme en Internet que asegura que «cualquier cosa se vuelve ÉPICA si suena de fondo 'Requiem for a Tower'». Se pueden encontrar muchos ejemplos que demuestran la validez de esta afirmación, pero hoy voy a poner el mejor de ellos:

Algo diferente, para variar. Sin letra, para no tener que andar transcribiéndola por aquí. No sé porqué me habré acordado de este tema precisamente ahora, pero seguro que el haber estado estudiando Campos durante casi todas las tardes de las últimas dos semanas no tiene nada que ver XD

No sé si será porque la semana ha ido estupendamente, o porque hoy luce un día magnífico, o porque ya he terminado las clases y empieza el fin de semana, pero lo cierto es que me siento genial y con un ánimo positivo al cien por cien. Me andaba acordando hoy de esta canción, así que he buscado el video correspondiente. Hay que ver, han pasado ya casi nueve años desde que se lanzó, y el Homeworld puede seguir presumiendo de tener un diseño espectacular incluso para los estándares actuales. Por cierto, el cantante es Jon Anderson y sí, es el mismo de este video.

Descubrí esta canción la otra noche, gracias al estreno de la serie británica que lleva su mismo título. Inmediatamente se convirtió en una de esas canciones "favoritas" que se instalan en tu mente y ya no te abandonan. Lo cual me recuerda que un día de estos debería profundizar más en la discografía de David Bowie: lo poco que conozco tiene un estilo con el que conecto y me gusta mucho, así que seguro que tiene otros muchos temas que podrían llegar a gustarme tanto como éste...
